I was summoned by a blank page.

So, I’m filling in the blank.

Like walking a plank

knowing not its length.

Not that I’m blind-folded,

but folding nevertheless.

Even AI picked the four

syllables over nonetheless.

Talk about passive writing.

Is an empty page white privilege?

Does nothing come from something

If I lay on the backspace key?

It’s always been easier to write

about writing instead of writing.

Redundance avoidance simply

avoids the DeJa’Vu all over again.

“I’m sayin’,” they say.

I’m writing, I write.

Cross this line,

when you come to it.

So much life, so little time. I’m trying to write everyday…at least something. Getting the juices going as I am to retire in the coming months. I hope you are fairing well under the canopy of God!

“Is an empty page white privilege?”
That’s assuming the colour of the page.
Glad to see a new poem from you, Jerry.
