Swooping,
chirp-chattering,
wings in stasis,
gliding on nothing.
Which one is the
early one, ear to
the ground,
yanking breakfast?
Jenny prayed to be
a bird to fly away.
I pray so I can fly around.
I’ll skip the worm
if birds can skip.

That scene in “Forest Gump” ALWAYS makes me cry! But I’m super soft on birds right now (in case you hadn’t noticed,) so I think this is really cute!
