Fall river

By the river,

down.

Water colors

float.

Eyes dip their

lashes in.

Brush strokes

on air

have taken

leave

of summer

heat

bare on breeze.

A blink

splashed flecks

of auburn

and bent yellow

back into

the sun.

Trees kept

leaning, blushing

on the surface.

Some day next summer I will be feeling very, very hot, and will be longing for fall to come soon. I will read this poem and…. I will be totally refreshed. I’m sure of it!
