Today

The light fell,

Tumbled onto this day.

I wasn’t quite

Finished with the night.

My unadjusted eyes.

Tears, those glassy

Cataracts of ache,

Suspend the river-roll

Of a rumbling soul.

The morning opens still,

And shines on.

Another new mercy,

Just like yesterday.

How ready are we when God nudges us in his gentle way?

Thank you, Jasper. I hope your summer is going well, and the fires aren’t effecting you too much.

So beautiful Jerry. I’m glad when the rumbling of your soul spills over. I have my own glassy cataracts of ache….

It’s like I always say…tears lubricate the soul. Peace sister.

The air quality the past couple weeks have been fine. In late May I wore a mask while gardening because it smelled and felt like a camp fire smoke coming right at me.
This year’s fire issue in BC came about a month earlier than in 2017 when I biked through the Okanogan Valley, which filled with smoke 3 days after we got through the area. A very concerning pattern.

Yeah, odd pattern. Serious stuff. Glad you weren’t affected too much.

Thanks for your time and thoughts.
